"But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Eph. 2:4-9)

I am so glad it is by grace I am saved! If it were dependent upon my own efforts and "good" works, I could never attain salvation. Praise God, though, Jesus has already paid the price on the Cross and now I am freed from the power of sin and death, free to love and serve Him.

  1. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my cooking blog. I'm glad to hear that you have a three month supply of food, too! It does make so much sense, and it really does turn out to be much less expensive in the end. If there is anything I can do for you, or any questions I can answer, please let me know!

  2. Thanks, Mandy! I do think it is SO important to have a supply of food (I would like more than three months, but haven't yet figured out where I would put it!). Because of this I never pay more than $1/box for cereal for instance, and often less. When I think what I paid even for generic brands before couponing/stockpiling, I shudder!
